A 2006 Yamaha Banshee 350 Vs 2009 Yamaha Yfz 450R?
Clearly, these guys have never owned a Banshee…The Banshee is a two stroke monster. It makes lots of power on the top end and goes very fast. I have a Banshee and I’ve owned many four strokes, including the Raptor 660. I got rid of the Raptor because it wasn’t as fun as the Banshee. The Banshee was faster than my 660, so I’m sure it will be faster than the 450. I will say that the maintenance/upgrades on the 450 will be easier because it’s a fuel injected four stroke and you can just use a power commander to enhance the jetting. The Banshee is two stroke and you have to make sure the fuel pre-mix is right for the motor setup. However, you have to worry about valves on the 450 and only rings on the Banshee. Easier/simpler to work on the Banshee for the do it yourselfer. They probably weigh about the same and the suspension is about the same. And you can probably get the Banshee for cheaper. They are all the same, so you can save more money by buying an older one that is in good condition and you will get the same performance. There are so many mods you can do to a Banshee…
