Corro FL Studio6: Producer Edition and underrun have too many people. What are the ways to prevent this?

I tried searching in the help manual for tips, but does not help much. I have a pretty crap card sound card, but an excellent outboard M-Audio card sound. I also just updated my RAM, so I know that's not it.
