How do you get excel to automatically add?
I know how to add on excel like to type in =SUM(B1:B5) and then stretch the sum to get all the other sums also. But there is a way to make it automatic so as soon as you type in numbers it adds. How do you do that? I need it quick and simple so this seems the way. Thank you.
P.S.- I mean as soon as you open up a NEW excel, it will already be set to add any numbers you put it automatically.
You are referring to a ‘Template’. Open a new workbook and enter all the formulas that you want to be included and save the workbook as a Template, type ‘.xlt’. Excel usually wants to save templates to its own desired location. I would save it to ‘My Documents’, so you can find it easier.
The next time you wish to use that ‘setup’, open the Template. It will always open ‘clean’ and as file type ‘.xls’. So, the template does not retain whatever values you input in the new workbook.
