Good Starter biked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
im am about 6’1″ 195 pounds and i wanna get a bike i am about to take the class and then my friend is gonna also help teach me to ride on his
my uncle who has ridden a long time said for my first bike i should get a 650 and my friend said i should get a gsxr 600 cause thats the bike he got and i am thinkin bout gettin a 250 but i dont wanna get bored and i dont want it to be too small what should i get
the 2 bikes im lookin at now is the gsxf 650 and gsxr 600
At your size, I think you will be happiest with the GSX650F. A 250 is easy to learn on, but it is not really suitable for normal use. You would likely be wishing for more bike within a month of riding. (Even at 5′ 6″/165 lbs, I would consider a 250 as a “play bike” and not a regular ride. The GSXR is a fun bike, but I don’t think it is as good a starter bike as the GSXF. I don’t have experience to compare the GSXR and GSXF (I have only ridden a very old GSXR 750), but the GSXR is set up for more of a “racing” rider position, and I don’t think it will be as comfortable for you over the long haul. You will have plenty of fun on the GSXF. It should be a fun bike in the twisties and handle mundane trips easily too. Years ago, I had a 600 super sport bike (for racing). It was lots of fun on the roads, but it was definitely more suited to the track and short runs through the twisties than to around town or long trips. I think the GSXF probably gives up very little of the sport side while being more suitable for the touring/commuting role. (And, of course, you’d save money too!)
