Connecting multiple amplifiers from several batteries in the Super Air Nautique 230?
So I bought 3 amps and several speakers, 1 speaker ship, 1 for subs and 1 for tower speakers, I was wondering How do I connect the amps to the batteries, you should have two batteries OPTIMA Marine and a cell for power? How do I connect the amplifiers to batteries safely?
Never never land for the town – anywhere. The lines Earth should reflect the positive supply (s) in size and completely isolated from one another and the boat. A group of batteries connected in parallel become a increased battery capacity only. If you use a different type of battery to the main engine battery if you can not collect from the same source. You can not combine different structures without incurring serious problems due to differences in internal resistance and so on. So if you go for the best option, industrial gel, suitable for all. The same with AGM, wet lead acid batteries, cars etc have no place in a boat. Many marine batteries are deep cycle (the plaque thick) type with an extra set of screw terminals for accessories. They are a little better from a database of lead-acid starter but unless you use gel or AGM you can only use the initial 50% capacity before the battery structure is damaged. An alternator is unlikely to get a stack over 75% of the load in normal use – for your available power is at best 25% of total capacity. A quality three stage charger used at every opportunity – and floated continuously batteries will give you a big boost in capacity, even the basic types. Another basic principle is that only RSV switches used in any system battery – manual battery switches allow the batteries can be disconnected from the system load on the engine – even a fraction of a second can blow a diode or two – then you can have unregulated voltage and AC voltage is injected into the circuit electronics can kill very quickly. FUSION – the system must use circuit breakers and fuses quality in every stage of the circuit to prevent any merger and the risk of fire if a failure occurs. Bilge pumps are connected independently of all circuits with resettable circuit breakers. The Amps should come with a proposed scheme – if not go to the manufacturers website and get some – this eliminates any errors up front. Do it wrong and it is expensive and embarrassing. Installation Kits are now available with all necessary cables and accessories in the package – very good value, and if clear the size of its components that fits perfectly. This link may provide some specific ideas of the boat. Apart from that early http://easyacdc.com/ connection normal high-powered car to application systems. Great, quality of cables and connections. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, if you really do not feel safe to pay a professional installer, then you get a warranty and the system works:)
