Volvo Penta increased fuel consumption?
I have a twin Mustang (32ft) 4.3EFI cruise Volvo Sport (petrol) engines. I have also been provided fuel for each engine transducers me avergae instant fuel consumption. In the last six months I realized that the port engine is using up to approx. 30% for fuel for the same RPM and load conditions as the other engine. Example 35 liters / hour and a good engine of 48 liters / hour. The readings of the transducers are reflected when filled wing tanks so the accuracy is not bad. Both engines start easily, idle nice and uniform speed, there is no doubt that the power to apply at any rpm …. So I'm puzzled as to what could be. Could it be an oxygen sensor, and if so, how do you go about he test is the problem … Open to any expert help … Thanks in advance, Steve.
compression check, fuel pressure (test for leaks), read the information for mixing spark plugs, prop damage. reflect on the exchange of 'producers to rule out measurement error. Sounds like a good configuration
