How do I use this old Sears battery charger?
I do need my battery charged for an hour or two. Got this Sears charger, plugged in with the clips on the proper poles. It”s a 6 and 12 v charger. I turned it to 12 volt. No other dials or knobs on charger. Is it supposed to charge? I see nothing moving on the dial, after 30 minutes of plug in.
In addition to the previous answer, make sure the charging clips are making good contact. Sometimes you have to remove the battery cables and clean the connections, as the build up an oxidation that increases the electrical resistance. Make your connections to the battery first then plug in the unit.
