What are some healthy finger good ideas for a 9 month old with no teeth?
I have a 9 month old child who is showing some interest in feeding them self. I would like some ideas of some healthy but softer finger foods. Some that maybe I wouldn’t think of.
I have already done. Sliced carrots, Peas, Bananas, Soft apples, and a couple other things.
I would suggest sticking with fruits and vegetables. Avoid highly salted foods and processed meats (especially hot dogs which are full of nitrates, mystery meat and salt, not to mention the very real choking hazard). Canned mandarin oranges (rinsed) were a hit with my little ones, as were cheerios, puffed rice, pears, and cooked squash and sweet potato. The healthy habits you have started with your baby will continue as baby grows. Good luck!
