2001 Yamaha yzfr6 600 problem !help?
I have a 2001 Yamaha yzfr6 600 cc motorcycl,it has somewhere around 4000 miles on it… it runs OK has a little hard time getting to start because its a carburetor-ed engine… I just did a tune up to it spark plugs fuel filter air filter was cleaned changed the oil and filter the back wheels brakes are stuck on so i think the plunger in the master cylinder is not letting go due to the bike being dropped before i got it i replaced the back brakes and i have a brembo master cylinder for you to take with you to either put on or have put on… I also have a couple more fuel filters i can give.. clutch is like brand new shifts into every gear fine no internal problems.. whats should i do ?
Put a new master cylinder or brake calipers on it to get the brakes working properly again, Carbed bikes do take a bit longer to get warmed up to the point they operate well, and if the engine has set all night the choke needs to be used to get it going and it may have to crank a few seconds before it fires up, sounds ok to me.
You could take it and have the carbs cleaned if you want or think it needs it will set you back a couple hundred (been there done that).
Only 4,000 miles. Giver her some TLC and she will be good to go man. You bought it wrecked and now it just needs some work to be put back on the road.
